Stegs has arrived in vegas !!

Ok boys and girls the stegs is in vegas.

Just a starter for ten to let you all know i arrived on the Vegas Tarmac safe and sound yesterday. It truly is a amazing place even when you get off the plane you only have to turn your neck to see the luxor, mgm and the rest of the south side off the strip, it dont look real to be fair, like a big model city.
I got a lift to the hotel which was about $20 (must remember to put that away in a safe place for when i leave) dumped my bag in the room (which was to be fair bigger than the downstairs area of my 3 bed semi) and was outside raring after a quick freshen up and top change!
I text john (spitvenom) and found that him and andy bee (sitout) were propping up the bar at "billys" casino which i found out was about a 15min walk so off i went.
What a great pair of guys, always come across nice on here and its no different in the flesh, we were supping jugs of "coors" like it was going out of stock but for $7 a jug why not! John had a bit of luck at the Blackjack but i was happy to take it all in and catch up with the guys.
Later we moved to the "mgm" poker rooms were i had my first vegas poker experiance at the $1/ $2 limit tables. Had $80 screwed up in my pocket so i changed $60 up and took me seat. You know what its all bloody "rigged" over here! . Did not win 1 hand but was fun chatting on the tables and getting a feel for the heavier chips and atmosphere! Elvis singing in one ear and the slots chinking in the other, this is a bit different to the man and his dog in the corner of the pub league!!

Anyway wandered back last night vegas time about midnight, up this morning at 5am wide awake! My body clock is all over the place! Now gonna go for some breakfast then wander up the strip to get some more table practice in as my side event tomorrow (sunday) ,will also be getting some photo's today and will put on here when i can, these may wait for my return unless i can fathom out the bloggie and out to upload them!

will try and give ya updates of anything exciting on here throughout the trip and like i say will add some pics on this thread when i can. Have a good day boys and girls

Hi guys just a update, played in event 54 today, went out in about 550 ish something like that not seen the updates yet, pleased with how i played thought i was gonna be out by lunch you know me! lasted till the last 3 hands but was low stacked and was gonna be a quick day the next day if i made it, last 2 hands got KK and AK they were beat by AA and QQ respectively. Really enjoyed the experiance though and apart from missing mrs stegs and the kids am having a great time, hope you all ok back home, saw sonny and annie and we wish sonny good luck in the event 56 game on tuesday.

I know my friend Andy has been keeping you in touch with precedings but since my laptop is playing ball today thought we would have a little update.

     Its amazing out here, and am glad Andy & John made it out here as this place can be very lonely without ya family for a long time. Have not seen anyone from 888 since i have been over here although there was a nice backpack dropped on my bed the morning i arrived with T-shirts etc in it. There was no rep at the Rio as far as am aware but got chatting to a few 888 members dressed the same as me would you believe!!My next visit here will deffo be with mrs stegs on the arm.

     You can bleed money here as i found out on the slots in the first few days (max bets 400,000 lines etc etc can soon nick ya credits)  Learnt to look for the 1c slots which to be fair you can still win a decent amount just not the $13,000,000 million life changing amounts.  I once saw a fortune teller when i was 18 and she told me "a little advice deary, you will never win substantual amounts of money, you will always work and graft for your money"    I was drunk and it was on Felixstowe pier so not a high class one but i always remember that, you know what i think she is right.

     There will be no Bad Beats from the Stegs, i just lost to a better hand in that round, there has been a few of them. Whats amazing playing live so regular as i am this week is seeing the turns and river up close and personal and see how cruel they can be. For anyone that still doubts stuff here is a message "BAD BEATS AND DODGY TURN AND RIVERS HAPPEN LIVE AS WELL ALL THE TIME, I HAVE SEEN IT WITH ME OWN LITTLE EYES"   It is good to see what a live pack of cards can do, i have hit a Q on the river this week to hit trips and beat Kings, have also seen KK against AA twice in the same night with K's coming on river both time. Some losing players have jumped up shouted hail mary jesus and kicked the cat on the way out, others have tapped the table and said NH. The characters out here are amazing, check Sonny's pictures out he has some crackers on there.

     Am hoping to meet Zock and aaron at the party tonight, have met already Sonny and Annie, everyone said what a lovely couple they are and i can now vouch for that, they came down to rail me and get some photo's of me which is very kind. Again hopefully we can have a drink at the bash tonight rubbing shoulders with the stars !!! 

     Right just a little update, am gonna go for breakfast now, then go for my usual wander up the strip taking some photo's along the way and dodging the clicky clicky men trying to offer me "beautiful women" for the night!  i will end up at bills aroung lunchtime where i will sup some jugs off coors with my friend andy ( is this sounding like the shawshank redemption)  i will then play the $30 tourn in there which is a but rough and ready, more my style !  I have certainly learnt alot this week about live play and will come away stronger ready to practice more for my next assault on vegas. (with mrs stegs holding me wallet next time for me) !!

Have you all been to DOWNTOWN Las Vegas yet ? a great place and something that should not be overlooked, beats the Strip all ends up as far as I am concerned. Hope you bink a tourney while you are there or at least get a Final Table  Sounds like you are all having a good time.
