Showing hole cards

There's always a lotta discussion over the merits and information revealed in cards shown v not. Take it one step further, do you ever only show one card? If you do, describe a situation in which you only showed one, why you did it, and if you got the desired outcome?

Footnote:  I guess this is more of a 'live play' question, as I'm not sure how many sites/networks give you the option of only showing one. Used to be able to on the Merge Network, I think....and if I'm not mistaken, Betsharks, of all places...I don't rightly know iffn any of the english sites/networks give the option to show only one...

You can do this on Pokerstars now, it's quite a fun innovation I think. Adds another level to the mind games when you're up against people you have played with a lot.

I just make sure I know why I'm doing it before I do it.
